new images of 9/11 released

A truly terrifying incident. RIP to all.

I am hoping nobody derails this into a conspiracy thread.

I can remember coming home from school, when everyone had their faces glued to the TV. I truly didn't know the magnitude of what was going on.

RIP to all that passed and condolences to all that lost loved ones.

I can remember lying on my bed reading a book, with radio1 in the backround, newsbeat came on saying a plane had hit one of the towers, I didn't even blink as I presumed I was some silly little 2seater, a bit later and newsbeat came back on and said it was an airliner, ran down the stairs, turned the tv on, a few minutes later the other plane went in, don't think I moved of my couch all day!

We were around town preparing for me to move out into uni. For some reason I couldn't have battered an eyelid, and it was only years later that I realised how naive an attitude that was.

I remember coming back from school to find this live on the news, those pictures still scare me.

I've been up the Twin Towers. And I've been to Ground Zero. Kind of brings it home really.

I was online when it happened, talking to my American mate over MS Messenger. She was in New York, just a few miles from the towers and gave me a running update until her boss told everyone to go home.

Those photos are spectacular.

I believe I was in Year 7, I remember a lot about the day before I got home and heard what was happening, I was in an Art lesson when it happened and remember a teacher coming in to speak to our teacher, I didn't realise what it was at the time but it seemed quite serious, the teacher didn't mention anything and the lesson continued on as normal.

I was very much interested in sky scrapers at the time and remember being excited for a second or two when I saw the towers on TV, then realised what had happened..

I just got home from school when this happened. Walked into the living room and saw this on the TV just as the 2nd plane hit. Don't think I've stood in one spot for so long at home.

I was at home. Contaced my boss (in the US) about lunchtime, for a meeting I think, and he told me the meeting was off and to turn the TV on. So I did. I didn't turn it off again for the rest of the day. :(
