Alpenfohn have been working on trying to improve an already successful range of coolers and have started by releasing the Ben Nevis Advanced and the Brocken 3.
The Ben Nevis Advanced is a 130mm fan cooler which now has a cooling capacity of 150w compared to the previous model having 140w. This is down to the advanced model having the extra heatpipe which offers a better cooling experience. The new height of the cooler has allowed for more fins to help improve the cooling performance. The cooler is compatible with the Intel and AMD sockets minus TR4 due to the high TDP of the thread ripper CPUs. The full compatibility list is below.
The Brocken 3 is Alpenfohns most powerful single tower cooler which has 5 x 6mm heatpipes offering upto 220w TDP cooling power. The cooler has been designed in a way that has improved it's cooling performance over the Brocken 2 and managed to improve how quiet the cooler can run and still maintain it's performance at a high level. Another difference between this cooler and a lot of the bigger coolers on the market is that this does not block your memory slots even if the fan is on the front as you would normally have it. The space between he cooler and the memory slot means that you do not have to worry about choosing between memory with big heatsinks or low profile memory.
