Hi, sorry if this is mentioned somewhere else but I have done a search and couldnt find any info, I am planning to do a new built shortly and havn't built a pc for a number of years and would like to clarify a few things before I start.

After switching on for the first time and resetting the boot drive to the dvd in the bios do I just install Windows 7 and then all the drivers from the m/b cd.

Do hdds come pre formatted nowadays and will I have to partition it or will Windows do it automatically during installation
Thanks

Pretty much,

When the Windows 7 install start you will have the option of going into "Custom (advanced)" which will allow you to create / delete partitions.
The install will create its own "SYSTEM" partition aswell.

After that then yup, install from the motherboard disc. Good Luck.

Thanks very much for all the replies, its very simple really.
The different pcs i have bought over the years vary between one or two partitions, is there any need for two partitions, the pc will be used mainly for gaming

Just realised that its a competitors videos so they probably wont be wanted on this forum, although they are in the USA lol
