well its runnig but geez what a hot puppy. E6600 1.25v 45c/52 load stock speed. 1.30v 3.1G 47/63c load. settings and temp software ok. used a lot from off here. AC5 used and reseated +5times or more now.

After about a week of playing about, trying to this thing running cooler. Now found out its down to the chip. tested the heat plate and gess what! its like the grand canyon. just wonder what temp would be using stock cooler lol. shame on Intel for there shocking quality contol. aint sure what todo or if anything can be done.

maybe should have stuck to AMD.

lap that puppy..... can drop temps 10C+ in bad cases!

Mine was like someone had thrown a meteorite at the chip..... dipped as hell with idle temps in the low 40s @ stock.... now with it flattened out it can hit 3.4Ghz on air without breaking 60C ORTHOS

yeah can it making a lot of differance but on w/c with stock volts/speed hitting 50ish idle. might be better to sell next month and buy a Q6600, just hope for a better chip. think this would run stable on stock cooler but very high temps, cant say for sure as stock cooler never been on. so no warranty replacment.
