New intel processors on the horizon??

Been told by a friend that intel have created a new chip for desktops that will soon be found in laptops therefore it's worth waiting a month or two for the price of the current core2duo's to drop?

that correct?

Penryn based chips will be out in laptops soon, T8*** and T9*** series I think, if you're not in a rush to buy you might aswell wait it out.
