new internet and router, but cant connect my TV to it

Hi all

Finally moved over from ADSL to Fibre (plusnet)

been working fine since last Thursday when it was installed (PC and mobile)
today PC and mobile are still fine, decided to connect my TV to it wireless like i had with the previous adsl, and my TV wont connect to the router , ive tried it 3 times now, just gives me an error saying router is disconnected

Updated TV to latest Firmware?

Does it work with an Ethernet cable?

Does the router have both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz? Are you trying to connect a 2.4Ghz TV to a 5Ghz network by mistake?

as far as i know, it was the latest firmware on my TV (it tells me when its update and this is done automatically)

I cant connect to the router via a cable (need a very long wire)

router has dual band, no idea which band its trying to get to, apparently manual says its a "smart" one so adjusts accordingly ?
