New internet provider

Been a while since looked into this and just wanted to know if anythings changed as regards what providers are good and who to avoid?

Can get virgin cable in my area and these have always seemed good for downloads. Is it worth looking at adsl providers though? O2 seemed quite good on spec and price but are they any good?

But that doesnt list any providers and give and feedback on them or am I missing something in that link?

The point is that the "best provider" is massively subjective and you need to a) give more information and b) do some legwork yourself.
There's also been a pile of threads about O2 and a whole host of other ADSL ISPs.
