Hi,

So i've just picked up a new Apple iPad Air. For the last gen iPads, i had an Apple Smart Cover and a belkin snap back and its been really great. I know the Belkin smart covers have had their issues as in the corners cracking.. But on my first (well my sons) retina iPad, the original Belkin cover has stood the test of time.. The same can't be said about my ipad, as i've gone thru a good couple of those smart covers.

I've seen those all in one covers, but i think i prefer the magnetic removal of the smart cover. So i guess I need back protection. Any recommendations or is the belkin snap still the way to go ?

I've always liked the Speck rear hardshell case + Apple Smart Cover combination. Fits well and pretty tough.

The Speck rear cases will eventually crack at the corners when they take one knock too many just like other makes.

Kavaj leather cases are great, they fit perfectly and the leather they use is fantastic.

They have a real premium feel, the cut outs lone up perfectly and they age very well.

They can be bought from amazon or the Kavaj website; http://kavaj.com/ipad-air-cases/

I have the "iPad Air Case “Berlin” black" which is the slimmest/lightest version.
