So for work I use a MacBook Pro and love it, so want try to the iOS experience to see if I could move from android to iOS without issue as a daily driver for my phone

cheapest way seem to be buy an iPad

just received it, got no dedicated use for it other than possibly sidecar

are there any must have settings or app I should try to fully experience the iOS ecosystem?

Possible plan is to move to iOS and OS X full time

iCloud Photos, Files, Messages, Handoff (copy to clipboard on iPad, paste to MacBook and visa versa (files and text)). Apps wise just install what you want I guess?

What do you use your MacBook for work wise?

As above one of the biggest benefits is the 'eco system' and everything linking together. Copy n paste between devices never gets old. Universal Control (when it's released) will hopefully be another step in the right direction with the two devices working together.
