Good morning,
I have had a new iPad since launch day (32Gb Black WiFi) and there has been some strangeness going on over the weekend. On friday i was using it most of the day, internet browsing, playing games streaming movies etc.
when i picked it up and opened the cover i could see all my apps as normal for a split second..... then everything other than the apple preinstalled apps just vanished.
this left me with my apps in folders that i had created, the 3 movies i had put on were still there but that was it.
I plugged it back in to my computer, turned of wireless syncing thinking that might be the issue and reinstalled all the apps. making a full backup on my computer in iTunes.
Saturday i picked it up after a little use and i had the spinning pinwheel of death, after a restart all my apps have gone again.
This time i have done a full reset and restore, new iOS 5.1 software downloaded and installed. iCloud backup turned off so it will only sync when plugged into my computer.
before the reinstall i could see there was 8Gb of ''other'' in the storage which i presume was all my apps that were still on there but inaccessible. once restored this was empty space again.
now however it has appeared unstable, safari quitting when opening pages, netflix not loading videos until a restart.
i know it's long winded but any advice or guidance over this? i rang apple and all they wanted me to do was a software restore which i have already done.
