Ive had a brief search on this site and there hasnt been a thread talking about it without comparison to others.

Does anyone know any issues with it yet? Such as with all the other old ipods there have allways from what i have seen been issues.

Anyone got any serious objections of buying one?

I would predominatly use it for circuit training / running...anyone got any other alternatives for me?

I think there's a lack of comparisons as they are no shipping them still yet. They where supposed to ship during October but no sign of mine as yet and still says "October" on the Apple shop too.

For anyone who wants one of these:

Get it its amazing :D. I love my little 2G shuffle its amazing!! Weee.

Just thought id share :).

Will post up some comparisons with my Nano 1G tomorrow/Thursday as mine has been shipped today :)

Well I have it at last (damn courier who decided it wouldn't fit in my letter box grrrrr).
Anyways its tiny beyond belief but very well built. I also like the fact that I am discovering music all over again with it, though TBH I could have done that with my 1st Gen Nano if I only I got away from the looking at an artist name and just skipping the tracks.
I set it to just random fill for the last couple of days and found tracks that I didnt even know I had in my collection :)
The sound quality I think is superb, seems better than my Nano through both my Proporta and EX71s.
Battery life seems good enough to me, lasted all day at work which is fine by me.
Some bad points to balance it up -
I wish there was an easier to cart about dock unit. Just something from a USB to the special 3.5" jack would be ideal, especially if it had some sort of lanyard or keyfob type afair on it.
Other grumble is that when I find a track I like it would be nice to be able to mark it as a favourite by holding a button in for a couple of seconds or something (a la On the Go playlist on the other Ipods). Especially true as some of my library I havent yet heard so can't always recognise the band playing to find similar when I get home.

All in all I am quite impressed with the little thing
