New iPod Touch?

I wan't to get myself an iPod touch as I have had one on loan from my uni for about 6 months and used it all the time. I'm a bit concerned though about how long the thing has been out, and wondering if there are any plans to release a new iPod Touch any time soon?

With the new Apple A4 chip, iPhone 4 and iPad I am expecting the next thing will be a new iPod touch?

the mac+ free ipod promotion is on at the moment, so there should be a new Touch soon, they normally do this promotion to get rid of excess stock.

normally the Ipod event is in september which when they normally announce Ipod/Ipodtouch updates.

New iPods are always announced/launched in September
