NEW ISP QUESTION???

Im with BT atm ADSL 8meg. If i want a new service can i just migrate and stop paying BT or do i have to cancel BT and then contact the new ISP i want.

Im just sick of BT being so slow and they have a crap customer service. Ive been with them for about pfffft 5 years now!

How long have you got left on your contract ? Surely you would have to pay them off if you wanted to quit.

Just phone up and ask for a MAC code, then you have 30 days before this code expires to find an ISP to change to. When you find one give them your MAC code and they will change you over with very little down time.

If your still in a contract they might charge you the remaining fee’s until you’re contract would have expired though.

Also make sure you get a transfer and not a cease, if they cease the ADSL service on your line you will have to pay your new provider for the activation fee again.
