i've been with bt for a year now and have had nothing but trouble with my connection, i was on bt max and was barely getting 1.5meg and it was very unreliable dropping the connection all the time ,i was eventually put on to a 1meg fixed line which still drops the connection but not as bad, after all the trouble i've had they refused to drop the price , bt option 3 about £27.00 a month, untill now when my contract is up and they have said i can have a discount of £2,50 a month if i agree to a 18 month contract (what a joke) so i've decided to leave but i don't know who to go with, i know my line stats are not good so i'm not expecting to get any faster speeds and probably not be any more reliable although i never have a problem with dropping connections untill i got bt max, so i figured i may as well go to some one who is cheaper , so i'm open to suggestions for a new supplier, line stats below :)

I'm on Sky max connect at 16mb and download at 1.68mb can't fault it though some people including me have had to connect the router to the master socket.

10 quid a month ( if your on sky tv already) you can't go wrong.

Very pleased with mine.

i have got sky tv, but they don't cover my area i can still get b/b from them but at £17.00 a month, any other recommendations please :)

Just to make a Enta based connection seem even better, they have been asked by BT (and they accepted) to trial 21CN, which includes ADSL2+.

forgot to ask will my bt voyager2500v router work if i go with adsl24 or will i need to buy another.

While we're on the subject of 21CN, this is interesting, especially the WBC pricing.

But BT *chose them* as the only 3rd party company to test 21CN/ADSL2+.

BT *chose* hundreds of ISPs to "test" IPStream Max. Enta are, it seems, one of three:

To be selected as one of the three trialists is very exciting news for us.

I'm still not convinced that it's any reflection on Enta - Plusnet had some involvement in the Max trials (and were hardly a wonderful ISP, either in terms of engineering ability or customer numbers), but they're now part of the BT Group.
Enta has to be one of the bigger ADSL ISPs without an LLU operation though, not that I'm a conspiracy theorist - I expect Brum's the first exchange to be ready and Enta just has most customers after the BT group.

still stuck on 2mb max on the isle of man, if i stay here till next year i may get 8mb upgraded for free (its £29.95 a month atm) bloody con men

I'm not so sure about that. Enta has a large customer base of the 'computer market' i.e. people who visit computer forums where they are praised above all (for non-LLU). Unless there is a high concentration of enthusiasts in Brum then it wouldn't surprise me if they were not.

You still put a downer on them being picked though. :o

Tabbed that link. Will read after Breakfast. :D
