New issue

Having solved my link from SH2 to switch, I now notice that on the back of my new PC that I bought from OC in April, the LED on the mobo LAN of my Gigabyte GAZ87XUD4H shows one solid redish orange LED and one blinking yellow. However my switch seems to think it is connecting at 1gb and the network card settings, link speed tab also shows its connecting at 1gb. However I am only getting 88mb download and 2-4mb upload on my Virgin 152mb/12mb connection with speed test.

Please again I call upon your superior experience.

According to the manual an orange LED indicates a Gigabit connection, and green 100Mbps. No mention of any red LEDs.

As a quick first step try booting from a Linux live DVD and see if the problem remains. It'll give you a good indication whether it's hardware or software to blame.
