I have settled on the following components:

Silverstone Sugo SG05B Mini-ITX Case - Black (300W PSU)
Zotac GeForce 9300-ITX WiFi Mini-ITX Motherboard
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 2.50GHz - Retail
Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 6400C4 800MHz
Western Digital Scorpio Black 320GB 7200RPM SATA-II
Samsung SN-S083A/BEBE DVD±RW SATA Notebook Drive
Akasa Slimline Optical SATA Cable
45cm Akasa AK-CB055 Right angle SATA II connector

I can't get the e5200 at OCUK any more it seems, but other places have it in stock. Cheapest I can build this is for £362.

I also intend to fit a Sapphire ATi 4770 either during the build, or at a later date, for an additional £80.

I have Win7 on pre-order, and would probably try and give RC a whirl beforehand. Intending to run Dawn War II as my only gaming requirement.

Would really appreciate any comments or glaring mistakes I could make before I press the buy button. My main concern is there seems to be a new PCB revision for the Zotac motherboard - how likely is it to get one of these?

Get the e5300 from OcUK instead. Still only £53, which I assume isn't a great deal, if anything, more than you're paying for the 5200.

Not bad spec at all, but you'll be lucky to find a HD 4770 around. If you can please send me a pm :D Saying that Look for a 2nd hand 4870, similar pricing.

Well there seemed to be a couple available from one of the big suppliers - I just Scanned the internet. But they're all out. Seems they sell like hot cakes!

As Geckovich said, any of these GPU's would do. Some people are using HD4890s in the SG05 with stock PSU... I might well if I can run my q6600 off it as well, which i doubt.

This thread made me look at various GPUs and now I have ordered a BFG GeForce 9800GT EcoIntelligence 512MB for my SG05 + 9300 ITX box. Will report on how it works once it arrives.

It'll work fine, no power or size issues :)
Yes, it should fit & work fine. I am more curious about the performance hit of the Eco version in comparison to a stock 9800GT and fan noise. Might try an Accelero S1 rev 2 if fan noise proves to be a problem (the system is used mainly as an HTPC).

That German thread is very good indeed, you don't really need to be able to speak much German to be able to get the general gist of things (although a little helps a lot), what works, what doesn't and what bits people are using etc. They even have a modded bios in there.

Thanks for that, I probably wouldn't have found that myself, since I don't spend much time on German websites.

There is also a very good Zotac 9300 ITX thread on the same forum, see http://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/showthread.php?t=611804. Just as in the SG05 thread, the first post (which is often updated) is very informative and tells you works with the board, and to what extent.
