I stopped working a few months ago to get some stuff sorted at home, but I finished that about a month ago and I haven't gone back to work because I can't face it. I simply dislike the job so much that even though it pays quite high, I don't want to do it anymore.

I'd like to find something new to do, maybe just for a few months or perhaps even permanently if I actually take to it. I don't want to work in an office, I.T., or in the service industries, and it has to be something that is fairly easy to get into, doesn't require a degree, and which pays a reasonable amount for whatever is involved (so if it's physically hard work, I want at least a hundred per day).

A friend mentioned long distance HGV driving, and that sounds like I might suit it (I'd have to get the licences first though of course). Do any of you do that, and if so what are the highs and lows of the job?

Thanks. :)

Operating tower cranes on construction sites.

Park ranger would be okay, I don't mind the outdoors or 'nasty weather', but I'd imagine that requires some qualifications & training that would take a good while to obtain...?

Long distance lorry drivers get good money, Tanker drivers get the most due to the higher risk. I know of one who is on about £850 a week.

The job is ok, can get mundane by sitting staring at motorway for miles and miles but it's good money for effectively sitting there (most of the time)

I've always wanted to be a park ranger.
