Having started a new contract, Im beginning to love it for the sheer stupidity that the public shows. I work in various surgeries and whilst I don't wear the uniform or name badge that clearly marks me as a receptionist, I could forgive the fact that I might be mistaken for one while keeping my head down and installing software on the front desk.
However....
This annoying shepig of a woman decided that she didn't like the answer of "sorry, Im not a receptionist, Im installing software on the computers. Please can you see that lady over there", so after turning around and walking through the door to the waiting room, comes back a few minutes later to ask why the doctor hadn't called her.
I explained again that I wasn't the receptionist and pointed to the woman who was and standing not more than 5 feet away. The lovely receptionis did book her in and advised her to wait in the waiting room.
20 minutes later as Im finishing up, the same pigwoman came up to me and asked if she could make an appointment in 2 weeks time.
I give up with some people.
Then there was this funny old guy who stank of BO, but was almost totally deaf. I had to shout at him to direct him to the receptionist, who then had to shout at him to take a seat.
