Quite a lot of choices. If you want value for money, that combo is good. Also the G400, which i prefer over the G500.
Mouse and keyboards are personal choices more than anything else. If you want a quiet keyboard don't go mechanical, unless you can touch type.
For keyboards, you also have to make your decision about things like backlit keys, macro keys, noise levels, USB / audio ports.
For mouse, it depends on the surface you are gonna use (some sensors don't work too well on some surfaces), laser (more expensive, more sensitivity) or optical (less expensive, less sensitivity) how many buttons (MMO style, like the G600 / mamba, or FPS like the M60, Zowie AM), small nimble mouse (CM Xornet, CM Spawn, Zowie AM, Steelseries Kinzu) or bigger and more stable (the rest).
G400 / Deathadder, Steelseries Ikari are middle of the pack in that regard. Logitech is usually a good bet.
