New keyboard & mouse needed maybe wireless?

Hi

i currently have my pc connected to my TV
1) for comfort as i sit on my sofa
2) lack of space for a desk

now i have come across a few games where the xbox 360 controller wont cut it, and i currently only have some cheap £15 wireless bundle of which the wireless mouse keeps dropping signal (i am about 2-3m away from PC)

i see my options are:
get a better wireless keyboard and mouse
OR
find a keyboard (use a usb extension) with a usb port on it and plug a wired mouse into that (if possible)

can you help guys?
budget aint a lot - about £100 total for the lot but i dont want a mechanical keyboard, i had a Corsair K70 and for me it was awful

i do have a wired mouse already, a Steelseries Kana which is alright, so perhaps a keyboard with a usb port on might help?

i am open to any suggestions guys..

Seeing that you already have a decent enough mouse then why not install a power USB hub and buy a wired keyboard. If you don't want mech keyboards then there is plenty to choose from and not very dear. K40 maybe or have a look around as steelseries apex raw is on for cheap
