Following on from my previous post I have had a week to check on keyboards and read all the "Spec me a Keyboard" posts.
I think now I have got the wrong end of stick regarding "back lit" keyboards - I need a keyboard where the tops of keys are lit from underneath so I can see the numbers or letters - I now feel by "back lit" it means the key itself is outlined by lighting on base of keyboard. Is this correct ??
I did buy a Zalman 400 a year or so ago and did like the board but the letters were so small I couldn't read them so in end got pack of those stick on letters for blind (don't ask me) and it was great but then found it had a fault when in Open Office where "A" key back paged rather than typed the "A" and on some web pages as well.
So I am still looking for a TKL keyboard but if the top of key isn't lit up then I think any cheap TKL board is going to do job for me and I will get another pack of stick on letters or a strip of USB Leds to put under desktop so they shine down on keyboard.
