hi all i looking at getting a new keyboard i currently have a microsoft x6 i use it for mainly gaming (FPS games) but if i was to get a mechnical board would this be worth it in terms of skill and comfort over the x6 keyboard? i would be looking at spending around £120 maybe less. i just cant make my mind up on wever to get one!

I had the same dilema until I got one. Mechanical all the way now.
First of all, you need to read on the switches, figure out which ones would be suitable to your style. There's a couple of really good articles/threads on the internet explaining in detail everything you need to know about it. (I'm not sure I can put links here)
No one can give you a straight answer as it greatly depends upon individual preferences.

Got my QPAD MK-85 Last week its perfect for fps games.

this was one of the keyboards i was thinking of getting but there is a model down from that Qpad MK-80 which is slightly less it has Cherry MX blue mechanical switch technology compared to the MK-85 which has Cherry MX mechanical switches what are the differences between these two switches?

thanks petro will have a read up

Here is a more detailed view of all types of switches http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide#post_6009482

I had MX Blue and MX Reds and Reds are by far way better IMO.
