Id like a new Keyboard, I haven't purchased one since 2004. I have a wireless Logitech - does the job!

I use my pc for web design so often tweaking css files and html, php and a little gaming (when i have time:()

My curreny keyboard has seen better days. Just recently I press something and it carry's on typing random things. So really I think it needs to go.

So what would you recommend. Something with leds? Blue Leds? want to light my desk up!! lol

Thanks.

Using a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. Lovely but hard to recommend now. They have changed the internals a bit, and have now some key ghosting issues.

Personally I wouldn't bother with wireless, but that's just me. Depends what you want from the keyboard and what your budget is.

G13 + Roccat Arvo combo; not looking back from this setup anytime soon it's great. It won't satisfy your shiny LED situation much though, as the LEDs on these two are subtle.

I rarely use the Arvo when playing games (maybe hitting 'escape' to bring up the menu or typing chat stuff and commands for MMOs), the G13 and a mouse cover that for me and I don't like the orientation of WASD keys to just use a keyboard, but did want to use left hand for keys without reaching across to the right-side cursor block (how I always used to do it), so that's where the G13 comes into play.

This setup replaced a Roccat Valo, which was utter pants, sadly, but I put up with it for a year or two before making a move to replace it. It was bad enough to almost burn me of all Roccat product for life, but the Arvo's OK after having poured over reviews and buyers comments, and it's proportions make it a good fit for this kind of setup.

Led lights is not a needed feature, Just seen a few around with them thought they looked nice. Would be prefer a decent keyboard first. it don't have to be wireless it's just i have one now. As for budget if it's good and worth it I will buy it the last keyboards I had for years so don't mind splashing out!

I am currently using the G19, not getting the use out of it as I should be though theres a lot to this keyboard with macros and the LCD panel plus all the G keys, I tend to use it as a normal keyboard and just use the LCD panel when games support it such as WoW.

Its a nice keyboard though, comfortable, responsive and the functionality is there for when I need it.

Microsoft Sidewinder X4.

I love it now but at first I didn't get on with it at all, the wrist rest is a bit odd and it's not removable!

Tried my Logitech Media keyboard at the same time and it's so horrible compared to the X4!

Yep. your right there. DAM it's expensive!!!

Lycosa is very nice though. I personally use the Z-board for gaming. Its too much of an eye sore though, think I'm going to to buy a new razer keyboard in the coming months. Buying a new Sandy Bridge build next month so it won't be for a while :D.

Do you need to install bloatware? What are the differences between the three different modes?
