Depends what form factor you are looking for and if you are bothered about flashy lights and fancy features like macro keys.
Ducky is good quality and you can't go wrong with them, pricing is pretty good too.
CM storm is awesome value though afaik their quality is probably poorer than ducky with their more recent models, but they are usualy cheaper.
Then you get the more no frills boards like Filco (Majestouch 2), WASD and Leapold. These are going to be of higher quality but you won't get anything fancy like backlights and probably not even win-key lock. But you won't get a better typing experience, two boards with the same keys can feel really different depending on the brand/model. Filco would be my choice out of these 3 but I don't know much about WASD.
If your looking for something small the poker 3 is great value and build quality similar to filco/leopold with pbt caps but its only 60% size, so no numbpad or seperate function keys. Size might be a plus though depending what you want.

Bear in mind though that this is based purely on my research and I haven't owned a mechanical yet, just spent a lot of time on forums

. So perhaps take it with a grain of salt!
P.S. first post, yay me!
