Howdy doody chaps and chappets,

Just been handed a nice little 500 pounds. I don't want to go absolutely crazy daft and spend it all.

Looking to buy a new mobo, psu, ram, and case,

Currently im using and keeping Q6600 quad core and have an 8800GT gfx card, can anyone recommend a decent mobo ram, case and psu, was hoping to spend in region of 300-350,

Current spec: Akasa AK-ZEN-01-BK Rev.4 Zen Case, Q6600 2.4ghz quad running stock. 8800GT GFX, MSI quad core board (cheap as it was a base block to use the quad and 8800GT) PSU is horrible and loud as it was cheap, and 2 HDD one IDE WD 120gb and a Samsung f1 spin point Sata.

I have been considering dabbling in a bit water cooling and sli gfx so a mobo and case that support that would be advantageous.

Any help on this would be supper wonderful smashing great, and it will stop you being bored in the last few hours of work.:D:D:D

Well i would be upping the memory, currently i have budget 2gb corsair ram 2x1gb, i was hoping that i could go for 4gb ie 4x1 prefferably,

I prefer cases like the Antec P182 the sleek look but i was then looking for something with an open side so you can see inside as i would liek to go water cooled.

ive never done a sli machine but want the mobo so i have the option. the psu above seams slightly over kill but as i say, ive only ever built a standard machine on a quad core.

Cable tidy. eeew i dont like te sound of that, im very sad when it comes to how tidy my case is i has got to be tidy. my reasoning is for maximum air flow.

I will go have a look at all of the suggested items once i finish work.

Cheers for the help

sorry i ment to say on googling it there bout 2.5k upwards.

Edit: on looking at it there isnt much room for air circulation in the centre gfx card. there surprisingly close for my liking.
