New Konami MGS V game comparisons.

I don't know why but weirdly Konami feel the need to spell out the exact differences between all the versions of MGS V before the game is even released.

I'm surprised that they don't just make the X1 version 1080p at 30fps. MGS generally doesn't need to be 60fps and it would benefit from the added shine of 1080p.

Cheaper console totally outclasses more expensive competitor.

Tough gen for MS, multiplatform will always be inferior on X1 and PS4 first party is going to make the X1 look really really bad.

At the same time X1 exclusives will squeeze more out of the console so I doubt it will make it look really bad, it's not been a great gen so far though for MS.

It's weird in the sense not many devs really come forward with this type of info and do direct comparisons between formats themselves. It's normally left until release and YouTube/gamesites pick them apart.

They clearly feel they need to perform damage limitation before launch. Its weird how things are panning out for them to feel they need to do that.

This generation is going to be a whitewash, its so bad that it won't even be competitive. Sony may not have a competitor next generation.

And Sony will squeeze more from the PS4.

The Order 1886 gameplay videos release this week (Tuesday I think) and will set the standard so far for this gen.

The best looking PS4 exclusives will be vastly better than anything MS can produce.

I think most people would tend to prefer a higher framerate.

I meant outside the game in question; there's already a thread that's seemingly become the place for that so why derail another?

In any case, the game looks rather good. Even the PS3 version doesn't look bad at all, though I'd already made the decision that I wouldn't buy the previous-gen versions of any cross-gen titles so I'll need to get a PS4 for MGS. Better be worth it!

I didn't say don't compare, but people calling this gen "a whitewash" and saying Sony essentially don't have a competitor are trolling, pure and simple. It's getting very boring for those of us who just want to read and discuss games without having to wade through petty arguments to do so.

It's not trolling, you just don't like what they're saying. It's also a fact if you're looking at it from a power perspective. Why not just ignore them and not respond? You seem to get involved in such discussions despite your claims of hating them...
