"According to Valve's Chet Faliszek, who made the revelations on the latest episode of GameTrailers TV, the new campaign will allow players to relive the moment with a member of the original L4D survivors were lost to the brain-munching Horde.

The update, which will work across both games, will therefore allow you to play as the original four survivors in the sequel for the first time, and will give the players the option of which member will be killed by the Horde, hence it 'Sacrifice' in the title.

That's not all - owners of the sequel can also look forward to getting an updated version of the first game's No Mercy campaign bundled in with 'The Sacrifice'.

Valve also has a 150-page digital comic on the way in four parts, which detail the events leading up to the DLC. Faliszek says it will arrive "beforehand" in September, so don't expect the DLC itself before then.

Faliszek confirmed that the download would be free to Steam users on PC and Mac, but left us guessing on a console price and release date"

also lets you play no mercy in L4D 2 mode

I was wondering when there would be more updated content for the game. I've been keeping myself busy with some of the add on campaigns which is good but hopefully to be able to use the old characters will certainly be a nice feat.
