New laptop £400

I've just been given up to £400 to get someone a laptop, ive searched all the usual sites but its such a minefield, does anyone have any suggestions, id rather not spend the whole 400 and cannot go over that budget, i know i'm not going to get anything perticulary fancy, but just something for general internet, MS works sorta stuff would be nice,

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Slightly over your £400 price bracket but that is a cracking price imo, as suggesting in another thread on here, it's from the Dell Outlet.

(I hope this doesn't breach forum rules since OCUK don't sell Dell laptops? Please remove if it does)
