New laptop and iPhone 4...

Hello,

Friend of mine has a iPhone 4 and a new laptop (windows 7). Her old laptop HDD failed.

Her iPhone has everything on it music, contacts, photos etc.

How can i get everything from the phone to the laptop without loosing any thing ?

Is it possible :confused:

Restore the iTunes data folder from backup and put it in the same place on the new drive. Once that's done, restart iTunes and simply connect the iPhone and it'll be just like it was already synced to that computer. That's exactly what I had to do after the lightning strike.

Lets say theres no backup

HDD failed in old laptop. Users always learn the hard way with data loss.

Either google for iPhone to PC software and download some trials to see which ones work. Or try some of the apps in the app store.

Song Exporter for iPhone works well for music and there are many contacts backup apps on the App Store.

Managed to get this sorted by authorizing the new laptop 4th device out of 5.

Then right clicking on the iPhone device in iTunes and selecting "Transfer Purchases"

That sent all apps and music from the phone back to the laptop.

Yeah that's possible, but you lose app data. such as game progress etc.
