New Laptop - any good?

Brought a new laptop yesterday on a whim - bored of my old D820 Dell

Got an Acer 5920G with the following...

Core2Duo 2ghz
4gb ram
250gb HDD
256mb ATI 3870 Graphics
BlueRay combo drive

and all the usual gubbins

Paid £479 all in which seems like a good deal

And no I didn't fancy another dell

Hi ya, i have been looking at this laptop for my sixteen year old son, is it any good? He will mainly be using it for the web and messenger, and maybe a little gaming.

What is your honest opinion of this laptop?
