Hi there, currently have a 13 inch 2012 mac book pro with an i5 in,
I have windows installed on it as well as mac osx.
I am trying to use it to stream to twitch, but am struggling to get a good fps on x264 due to performance issues, and on quick sync I am having to stream at 3500 kbps to get a view able video, and it is still not looking great.
(I use a aver media live gamer portable to get the video from my desktop)
My question is, should I sell my mac book, buy a new laptop, that has enough power to encode to obs well, or keep the mac, buy a few components to make a new PC for streaming (I already have a power supply, case, a monitor and HDD)?
Or is there somthing i am missing out on streaming wise and can do it a much less CPU intensive way? (currently using OBS)
Please let me know what you think and give me a few suggestions for parts etc.
Thanks
