New laptop, mainly to play Spore

Hi guys,

My girlfriend's laptop has just died, won't even charge now (its an old IBM thinkpad) and its time for a replacement :)

This is basically what I'm looking for:

either 14.4 or 15", doesn't really matter as long as the weight is less than 2.5 kg.
Will be able to play spore/ Red Alert 3 when it comes out.
Has a decent battery life.

I've been looking at the Centrino 2 laptops that have been coming out, and I was going to wait until the Dell Inspiron range came out, but the old laptop dying has forced my hand :/

Budget is £700. Hope this isn't too unreasonable :)

Thanks Major Disaster :) We ended up going for this, with the addition of the 9 cell battery and the 1440 x 900 screen which I saw a lot of people recommended :)

Only thing is that its red, but my gf doesn't mind :)

That was off the website, was part of the XPS extravaganza and closed midnight on the 17th. Not a bad deal I thought :)
