New Laptop - Or something better???

I want to be able to stream internet broadcasts in 3 rooms at any time with the ability to move from one to the other if necessary.

Some of these streams have Apps for console/tv but not all so I need a central device that can stream them all. Currently use PC as it's next to my TV. But new house will be much bigger so am splitting my 1 entertainment room into 3.

Is my best solution to simply buy a small lightweight Laptop which I can easily carry into any room with it's own HDMI lead and plug straight into any TV?

Or does there exists a fixed device that can wirelessly stream content to my TV's?
I'll have a Desktop in the Study room but my partner works on this so don't want to have to disturb her.

Can be done, but you are looking at £200+ for a 1080p wireless "HDMI" transmitter.

Well I guess a small compact Laptop is the best option then. You can pick them up for £200 or less and then at least it could double up as a spare computer now and then.

Other option would only be worth it if it was considerably cheaper.
