I've been looking at the Sony Vaio VGN-Fw31zj 16.4 Laptop and some Dell xps.
Basically I would like a laptop for around £1200, that has a HD screen, integrated Webcam, and can play games such as Half Life 2, Fear and can handle some Video editing and 3D software without being stupidly laggy. I've been looking at a screen around 16.4 Inches, generally the widescreen ones. This is because I do still want the laptop to be mobile because i'm at university.
I've looked at the Sony Vaio VGN-Fw31zj, but apparently its just terrible at games so it's really put me off buying it otherwise I was going to get it tomorrow from PC world for £1199. I do play a lot of games, and had some hopes of taking the laptop on holidays etc and back home when I'm not at University to use for music, playing 1.6/Counter Strike Source and generally abusing it, such as leaving it on 24/7 to download movies and rendering Videos from Sony Vegas 3DsMax.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or simply put me straight such as, for that type of laptop your looking at £1800+ and your crazy fool!
