New Laptop - Think 3 in 1 Card Reader Broken

Hi

I recently bought a new Samsung Laptop but I think the photo card reader on it is faulty. When I take photos on my camera, I can view them fine on the camera. When I connect the camera to PC via USB, I can view the photos fine but when I take the card out the camera and put it in the card reader, I can view the thumb nail icons fine in explorer but when I go to open a photo to full size, it becomes all distorted.

Just trying to work out if this does sound like the card reader is faulty? Just found it strange I can view the thumb nail icon of the photo ok.

Try a different mem card in the same slot

Try the same mem card in different card reader
