Sony laptops are overpriced for the spec. You're paying for the name. As Huddy said, what are you using it for? Browsing/email? A £400 laptop will be more than suitable. If it's light gaming machine need to spend £700+. For a proper gaming laptop I wouldn't bother, just buy a desktop instead.

myself you see i do not stay in one place a lot, i move and travel all the time, i need it for doing accounts for fathers company, playing games (civilization, age of empire etc,) also wireles internet access, as i need it as i do a lot emailing back to russia and all files are heavy, and so on. also i'm trying to learn to build websites and will build one for my dad so i need dream weaver to work fast to
