Hey, im looking to buy a new laptop but i was wondering if you guys have any feedback about them/or one you bought.

My budget is around £400, I dont mind what make but i would prefer a safe/trusted site.

I would use it mainly for internet browsing and some games

Any ideas?

Cheers
Jordan ;)

I'd get rid of the competitor link if I were you.

What kind of games would you be playing?

Can you give some examples?

New games won't run very well on a £400 laptop since most around that price range don't have dedicated GPUs and instead use Intel graphics. If you look around for laptops which have dedicated GPUs then it would probably be your best choice.

You might be able to get down to your budget if you check the Dell Outlet site for an XPS M1330 or similar.

They're not too bad for games at all.

If im not mistaken you can just find an Acer with a ATI 3450 or 3470 for £400 otherwise the hd 3200 is the best intergrated graphics card right now. If you have £500 then go for a dell studio laptop.

james, I'd remove the competitor link unless you want a permaban.

I've got a 3450 in my laptop and it's just about enough to run rFactor at 1680x1050 in DX7 mode, probably ok for WoW as well (wouldn't know, never played it and no interest in trying) and maybe some very light shooters but nothing particularly modern. If you want really modern shooters (Crysis, CoD etc.) I would recommend a dedicated gaming laptop, but you'll need to at least double, if not treble, that budget.
