New laptop

Hi
Just ordered a new sony laptop e series,anyway I have'nt recieved it yet but Im just wondering if ye think it would run any of the following games?

masseffect 1 and 2
obilivion
age of empire 3 and expansions
stalker games

The spec of the laptop is :

Intel Core i3 370M / 2.4 GHz Dual-Core,Mobile Intel HM55 Express
4 GB ram
512mb ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

any advice appreciated

I have the same spec laptop,you wont be able to run the Stalker series at a decent frame im afraid with the GPU you have.

The rest of the games should be ok

Shouldn't you have done a bit more research first before buying the laptop,the 5470 is not a great gaming GPU and with only 512mb Vram it will only manage at low to medium settings on a number of games.

Memory bandwidth is only 64bit as well, so it will be pretty slow.

But for the games you've listed, Stalker is the main one that you will need to run low. The others you could probably get away with medium.

I had a similar laptop (well GPU and RAM, CPU was i7) and it struggled with the Mass Effect 2 demo so wouldn't recommend it on that.
