just after a bit of advice have been offered this lappy for £500 do you think its worth the money or could i but a better spec one new ?

It's not fantastic for that price point. Check other sites such as ebay or ****** and compare between the specs/cost.

I have seen them go new for that.

This Lenovo at £499 will do the job just as well having the newer i3 and a much much higher spec graphics.
