NEW LAPTOP

hello folks I have just bought a new laptop.....an Asus G16 G614JZ-N4024W. It has 16GB of RAM and Im looking to change it to 32GB, the specs for this laptop say DDR5 4800 but cpuz program says its running DDR5 5600???? any ideas?

Not really. I’ve had it many times where the laptop will state “only supports 16gigs of RAM” and then I install 32gigs and it’s fine but never at a faster speed.

Read the manual, that should say.

Also, why are you questioning increased performance? You might scare the laptop. Just enjoy it.

Check with the latest version of hardware info what your laptop has. It could well be asus put faster ram in it as that’s what was available at the time.
