New LCD monitor doesn't look good?

Hi guys, I just bought this monitor http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-045-LG&groupid=17&catid=510&subcat= and it doesn't look good at all it's all blury and when I play games it lags, like if I were to chuck a flashbnag I can see it lagging behind in mid air. My guns also have a lot of green stuff on them whihc only happebs on this monitor. I know thats not a very good description of what my monitor is doing. I have installed all the drivers and im using the DVI cable. I recently upgraded from a 17" CRT on the blue cable "duuno what thats called". Could my pc still be using the CRT setings?

Like I said it's a crap description, but hopefully someone understands. I just don't think it's working properly. Doesn't look as good as it in in the picture on the site.

Yup im running at that and at 60hz does it matter that the anologe cable isn't in? Should I plug that in?

When I go into safemod then device manager, no monitors appear but when I go into normal windows it says;
Default monitor
lg l226wtq(digital)

Should it say Default monitor?

Format fresh install of drivers?

I uninstalled both, restarted PC, went back into device manager and they were both still there.

Could that be because I had the dvi cable in te other slot on the back of my PC aswell?

Also when I start up my pc it says "Digital power saving mode" untill its logs me in and then it shows the desktop.

Also I have two DVI slots in the back of my pc, I have two 7900GS, in my computer manual it says to plug the monitor in the primary dvi slot and it shows a pic of the primary being under a dvi slot but on my pc they are next to each oher should I plug it in any of them or the left one?

Well, I have seemed to have fixed it now by formating, still using DVI, and the picture looks a lot better. Still in games I "think" I'm seeing a bit of ghosting or weirdness in game, I can't find the "response time compensation".

hmmm, not for me it's not. I'll try and describe it better.

I have a pritty good computer, with two 7900 GS with SLI enabled. I have plugged the DVI into my monitor and my PC. It looks kinda cloudy/blurry. I tried with anologue, the screen is pushed to the right, like when I put up my PC all the wrighting is off screen on the left hand side. No differnce in the way it looks.

In games, im notcing when I through a flashbang I can see the trail of it, ghosting, yeah. Then quite a bit of the time a wavy line goes up the screen, don't really know how to explain that. Then all of a sudden in games green oacths appear on the gun, but I'm gonna blame that on the game (CS:S). Movies look really dark when it's in dark and I struggle to see peoples faces.

I'm gonna try and install some software that came with it, see if that does anything. Mabe I can find the respond time compensatin in there?
