Hey all new pc so need new monitor,
Have around £220 and would like a nice 19" but just crnt find the right 1 and as i am not very well in the "know" i would like you guys to point me the right way.

It has to be from oCuK and be al least half decent for games 12ms tops and need to pass your requerments :) .

Cheers guys n gals all help appreciated.

I am not an expert in TFT's or anything, but I have heard a lot of good things about the Acer 19" widescreen, and its about 180 including vat from OCUK.

The one slight snag is the max res. is 1440x900, there is a thread on this board discussing it.

Can't go wrong with the Samsung 913N. Excellent and well established screen, using one of the best panels in the 19" market really and widely used i loads of other models. Very popular screen, would get my seal of approval :)

Cheers for both lads i was origanlly looking at that widescreen but i think it would look kindo of ... well odd wen just on msn and inet

Cheers keep the comments cuming in as only hav till firday night

for your price range has to be the Samsung SM-913N 19" LCD Monitor which is very good if your a heavey gamer then perhaps think of spending 20 pounds more and going for the Samsung SM-930BF 19" LCD Monitor

Doesn't look odd at all. It's a cracking monitor, games are brilliant in widescreen, and it's a relief to be able to watch widescreen movies on it, without great strips of black top and bottom....

Have a look at this - it's the forums in widescreen, as seen on an Acer AL1916W :)

Sorry to bump an old thread up, but im looking into buying the "Samsung SM-930BF 19" LCD Monitor" over the 913n monitor...Anyone own this? Im basically buying it for gaming pretty much, the odd film once in a blue moon, and general computer stuff really...

im also looking at the "Hyundai ImageQuest L90D+ 19" LCD Monitor" ?

All help is much appreciated :)

This 1 i got now is great for gaming imo no ghosting no blurring ect and is awsome for movie's only watched about 5.

9/10 for me tbh great monitor save the money and get this 1 :)

Ace, thats the Samsung 930bf yea?

Anyone shed some light on how much better the 940Bf is? And if its likely to last a fair few years...Just i dont upgrade much and a monitor isnt something im looking into doing every year.
