Hi All,

Well, last years Xmas weight has been added to this years Xmas weight and my once a month gym visit isn't going to lose it so time for new leathers!

With the warehouse place in Swindon closed down, where do you go for reduced priced gear now? (Bristol, Taunton, Swindon type area).

Not sure if i want 1 pce or joinable jacket and trousers... both i guess if i dont need to re-mortgage my house to afford!

If if matters, im 6'2" and ride a blackbird so likey want plain design (black).

Where George White was is now a clothing/accessories store? Or Fowlers, or Hein Gericke (I've used their Cheltenham store but a fire means it's closed atm)

But if your leathers are decent ones in good condition it might be worth just getting them altered a bit, probably cheaper and seems to make sense. I had some alterations to my one-piece (I'm short and fat, so legs shortened) by Hill4Leather in Aldershot, not exactly local but well recommended.

Umm my leathers are not great, scuffed from an off, frayed bits, zip not great - time for new ones.

Hein Gericke (Bristol) didnt have any new stock in (not a single 1 pce in store), other selections were limited. Not like the warehouse that had rows to walk down! Fowlers are soooo expensive.

Ohh didnt know there was a new store there...

I am thinking of getting my leathers arms lenghtned and the crotch area lenghtened expanded (not saying I have a wang the size of a baby's arm, it just rides up a little tight in the front area!).

Not sure if they can do this, but was the work good?

I wouldn't recommend mega motorcycle store I ordered some leathers from there on saturday 10th ad they still haven't arrived (despite saying I would recieve them in 2-3 working days I have contacted them by phone twice and both times they said "sorry we will get them to you in the next 2 working day" but I still don't have them

Fairly sure they'd be able to do that, could check the price list or just give them a call they're very helpful.

I was very happy with the work done, With the shortening of the legs you can't really tell it's been done, and they moved the knee pads to some velcro inside rather than in a pouch in the liner so they fitted properly. Some of the minor repairs you can notice where it's been patched rather than me stumping up the cash for a whole new panel but other than looks it's good and I have no reason to suspect it'll be any weaker which is my main bit.

I'll inevitably crash again and when my leathers need repairing I'll be heading up to Aldershot once more :)
