Hi all,

I'm looking at getting a new LED tv in the next few months, and have narrowed it down to these 3 tv, i had a quick look at the today in John Lewis's just to see them what they looked like. I will be having a futher look later.

The 3 are:

Samsung UE32C6000 (what is the difference between 6000, 6510, 6530, 6540?)

Panasonic TX-L32D28BP

Sony KDL-32EX703 (a bit expensive)

I'm got sky HD so I will mainly be using this to watch tv, I don't currently have a blu-ray.

Has anyone got either of these and what are your experiences.

Thanks.

ooh yeah sorry. get the panasonic, the sony is overpriced.

look at all the store is bestto help you choosse

LCD tvs¬!!!!!1..................with LED backlighting!!!!!!!!

Why not get a nice panny plasma :D

The C6000 is a very nice TV and is decent bang for buck. I do like the good Samsung LEDs a lot (avoid the C4000 like the plague). It actually delivers above-par quality as well as having some good features that you'd expect from a TV that price. The 703 is nice also, but as you observed: overpriced. The Panasonic we don't have at our shop so I can't comment.

-Ad- *in camp voice* Panny plasmas are soooo 2 years ago, and in my daily experience of them, they're not all that.

And my experience of LED edge sets is that they are overpriced form over function tat :D

Panasonic make good solid screens that just do the job!

Well Grimley i agree on the picture quality but reliability no, i had 3 in 18 months all with different faults so now swapped to a Phillips lcd.

You've been unlucky then. I used to sell tellies years ago & found that Panasonic were the most reliable due to lack of customer complaints.

I have the Samsung LED C6000, and it is great TV.
One thing I do not like is the clouding around the edges in some of picture modes. I do thing Samsung should have sorted this out considering much expensive these TV's are !

Another vote for the Samsung C6000 series.

If you want the grainy cinema quality feel, then the Panasonic plasma range is what you want.

If you want crisp and vibrant high definition, get the Samsung. Got myself a C6900 model here in Hong Kong and love the thing for HD.

This year's models are due out around April / May

expect to see reductions in existing models soon as retailers try to clear out stock for the new models. Just a word of warning.

I have seen my C6000 from mid 2010 go from £899 to £625, then back up , back down, and now down to to £625 !

wait tbh, as said all the all ranges are due soon, and should haopefully be better, If you really need to buy now, id get the panny, but one thing that anoys me is the SD picture quality is quite poor.

Does anyone know what the difference is in the samsung 6000 range? as the is the 6000 6510, 6530, 6540, 6600 & 6800

why is the Sony KDL32EX703U more expensive than then Sony KDL32EX713U? I'd have thought that the higher the number the newer / better the tv was.

The KDL-32EX703 is last years model, the Sony KDLEX713 is this years replacement model for the 703.

Both can be had for around £500 online. Ignore the RRP on sony's website, since the 703 is no onger a current model and no longer currently stocked. I doubt you could buy one from a sony centre any more, and if they do, it will be their last bit of stock, so plenty of haggling to be done.

Very minor changes to this years EX7XX model. Addition of Freeview HD against Normal Freeview, slightly less power consumption (91W vs 90W)

Think thats about it !

I see that sony are bringing out a 32" 3D tv, (Sony KDL32EX723) I know a 3D will be useless, but I'm tempted..
