Hello all,

Been abit down lately with work and life so I've decided to treat myself in my favourite hobby - Photography ofcourse!

So I've bought one of these.

Canon 50mm F 1.8 for £50

Have seen lots of threads on other forums about it and it's a fantastic lens and a bargain at that price as well!

I'm very tempted to get a set of extention tubes as well.

Yay!

ah right. Yeah get yourself some kenko extension rings. They'll provide a cheap macro solution. Nothing near as good as a macro lens though.

Macro I want to try but you have shown me 50mm prime examples and I've seen them all over the net, I'll use it lots

- Seems silly not to have it.

Im sure you have been banging on about that for about a year. I bet you will use the 50mm prime more than any other lens. once you compare primes to zooms for quality you will bend over backwards in order to use the prime (if you print a lot you will anyway)

The 17 - 40 L and 50mm spend most time on my camera. But then again, they do take up 50% of my lens collection since I sold a few lenses over last couple of months.
