Sigma 8mm f/4 Fisheye

Fisheyes are fun, I much prefer a hemi-corrected fisheye image to the craziness that happens in the corners of a rectilinear

I did! Quick photo from yesterday too!

Was supposed to be going out today to take photos, but I've never seen so much rain in my life!

EDIT: Anyone know the best defishing software for PC?

The problem is, if you correct the fish-eye distortion then it just looks like any other wide angle shot as there is nothing to say those trees arent in front of you rather than beside you (for example)

For what it's worth, here's what the hemi plugin (corrected verticals only) does with your image:

Corrected verticals makes for a bold image (curved horizontals) but the difference on vegetation isn't always apparent. The full rectilinear conversion tends to look particularly rubbish in the corners, I never do that.

Yeah sure, but that'll be great for photo's that I just want ultra-wide as if they'd come out of a Sigma 10-20mm rather than a fisheye... A cheapskates way of not buying an UWA lens and having the ability to take awesome fisheye shots too!

Ah nice, that's kinda what I'm after. Is there a free version, excluding the trial?

Ha, people on the thread who posted after me have also expressed interest in this... If I ever sell it, I don't think I'll have much trouble :p

Don't know, I paid for my hemi plugin.

Looks like CS5 doesn't have a full rectilinear correction for your Sigma, so that's not an option (even at £!!!). It does for my Nikon.
