new lid.

Er..... your new lid?
Struggling to find anything positive to say to be honest. The artwork seems well done maybe?

I look at that and all I see is your mangled face after its been dragged along the ground when you have a crash.

I dont know why anybody seriously considers those old fashion type helmets any more.

I totally agree, why wear something decorative when you could use something that actually provides protection?

For a 'different' open face helmet that would actually provide some level protection I think the Draxtar helmet is quite a funky bit of kit.

Yeah that is pretty funky if your a fighter pilot, i ride a hardtailed chop, so wouldnt look right, the helmet i showed is USA, DOT approved, but a lot of custom bike riders wear them in this country anyway.

No chin-guard is just asking for problems if you fall off.

Many, many years ago I managed to crash on my mum's moped *1 at a mere 30 mph - the scratches on the chin guard of my helmet were a couple of millimetres deep - if I'd been using her open face helmet I probably wouldn't have had a face left.

*1 Yeah, go on - laugh. It was my first night out on it havign passed my CBT a couple of days earlier and I managed to doze off, go into a hedge, then foolishly tried to correct rather than continuing into the hedge.

When my brother was younger, he fell off a push bike going at barely any speed at all and poked a hole through his chin. It doesn't take much.

Hey i wouldnt laugh, and yeah i can see the safety aspect, of a full face, having worn one in the past, i dunno, its a bit of a marmite subject to be honest, i know a few people who are dead against them and vice versa.

Well i like it. different strokes and all that. Hard tail chop types look daft in full face lids along with one piece leathers.

my thoughts exactly, goes with the style of the bike:)

I dont enter the whole aww if you fall off....... saga, Their face/ skin their choice.

I would be a hypocrit if I was to say it was bad to go out without lid or clothing of some sort of protection. I think everyones done it
