Hi guys,

I've built two PC's on the back of advice from this forum over the years, so I always return whenever I am looking to build a new rig!

I want to build a small PC that I can take in a bag somewhere if needs be, can sit under the lounge tv like a console or otherwise be unobtrusive on the desk.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £908.93
(includes shipping: £0.00)

I'm aware that the CPU cooler doesn't list LGA1151 as supported, and I haven't checked if it will fit in the case yet, so it is there as a placeholder ATM.

Also I am a little bit price aware this time so any cost saving recommendations e.g. mobo (which chipset should I get?) would be great.

More questions:
- What have I forgotten to add?
- What would you change?
- What should I bear in mind when building with this case?!

Thanks in advance!
Sirrah

LGA 1151 and 1150/55 etc all the same, but that coolers a bit big for the case.

- CPU coolers up to 56 mm in height
- PSU compatibility: SFX PSUs up to 130mm long
- Graphics card compatibility: Maximum dimension of graphics card is 310x145x47mm (LxHxD)

Seems like you need to check a lot of stuff for fitment.

If you dont want to overclock then how about a i5 6500 and H110 chipset.

I would suggest an Ncase M1 personally. You can get one of the nano GPUs with it (the ITX sized ones) (there are many). It is a nice case that really packs everything in tight. It isn't as slim as your selection but IMO it makes more reasonable use of it's internal space and is of brilliantly high build quality.

I have been looking to do the same recently and have thought that going down to a non-k cpu might be worth it and with a bit more to the budget fitted a 1070 instead.

Your build looks good Sirrah but you won't fit that CPU cooler in. The one below fits and will allow a mild overclock on the CPU so long as you don't go too high on the voltage :) As Triq says you could save some cash on the CPU and motherboard if you don't want to overclock, and spend that money on a 1070 which would probably give more performance overall.

Note this cooler is listed at 58mm and the case has 56mm of clearance but from what I have seen elsewhere it does fit!
