New loop - Am I riiiiight?

I'm hoping you can still check in on this!

Slight issue/non-issue.......I have it all up and running and all seems well! Only thing is.....it almost seems like the water isn't pumping round the loop. I can hear the pump humming away (seems a little loud IMO) but as it's distilled water I can't see it moving at all. I've let bubbles bleed out a bit, but nowhere near as much as others have suggested - should I be concerned and are there any signs to look out for?

I know this is a bit of a backward question but thanks for bearing with me :)

Take a look here for drain point as I had the same dilema myself recently, went with something virtually the same but 2nd hand off the Members market

YOUR BASKET
1 x Aqua Computer Ball Valve Female Thread G 1/4 without Fittings £5.99
1 x XSPC G1/4" T Fitting (Black Chrome) £3.95
2 x XSPC G1/4" to 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD Compression Fitting (Chrome) £3.49 (£6.98)
1 x XSPC G1/4" 5mm Male to Male Fitting (Black Chrome) £1.79
1 x XSPC G1/4" Plug (Chrome) £1.55
Total : £22.54 (includes shipping : £1.90).

You need the male to male to connect the valve to the 3way , and two extra fittings to fit it all up

Tube -compression fitting -3 way - compression -Tube
..................................... | male to male
..................................... | valve
..................................... | stop cap

Looks fine to me, otherwise might want to consider getting the Lamptron FC6 over the Akasa it's just an all round nicer fan controller

as for fans, I have some spectre pro's and they are alright but they are not radiator optimised you should be looking at some radiator optimised fans unfortunately I don't know what's good anymore as I use the old tried and tested Gentle Typhoon 1850's which are now End of Life

You'd know if water wasn't being pumped around cause temps would skyrocket in seconds as the water around the blocks warms up without moving. Which pump do you have? Can you increase it's speed?

Member's market is a wonderful place. Because there are no fees like on ebay stuff gets sold super cheap. I recently picked up an RX360 V2 for £20.

Yeah I REALLY wish I had checked out the market before hand - I'll definitely be looking there in future!
I've got a drain valve installed - I let a little fluid out then turned it back on and everything seems well - I just hadn't expected it to work that well, first time!

I have the EK-DCP 4.0 PWM pump/res combo - was a little leaky round the res seal at first but took it apart and put it back together - problem solved! I have a fan controller (Lamptron FC2) but the pump is 4-pin, so I'm going to have to get an adapter for it, otherwise it just runs at full speed. In the pump's defense - I've not mounted it so I just need to sound proof it I guess

All I need to do now is plug a fan into the CPU fan (doh!) and test it after work tonight and fingers crossed I won't have to bother you guys for a while!

Thanks again for the speedy response - it's much aprpeciated

Update on deliveries...

EK Waterblock for GTX970 - ordered 28th Feb from Slovenia.....arrived 5 days later.
Mayhems Pastel Ice White - ordered 27th Feb from Midlands.....still not here

Haha British efficiency there ;)

It was SCAN computers. Even odder that the rest of the order from them arrived. To their credit though, they've given me a full refund, no questions asked.

didn't see this thread earlier. would've recommender a dcp 4.0 instead of the 2.2
the 2.2 isn't really meant for big cases such as the air 540

Just thought I'd snap a couple of quick (and rubbish) pictures of what's happening! All seems to be fine.

Tested it all on an hour of Far Cry 4 last night and the temps never rose past 45 degrees! Happy with that :) plenty of room to overclock if I get bored soon haha

oops!

Sorry - Google drive was not a wise option!

Terrible cable situation behind the cube but I have a little recording studio set up so it's hard to avoid. Might have to get some white LEDs just to make it pop a bit more :)
