New Lucid 2.1.112 Software

I tried the MVP version on my z68 board.. its in a trial mode so u cant add games to the list but i did test with F1 2011 and didnt see any improvement in the benchmark. It actually lost performance if anything.

The original Virtu works ok.. even run 2 monitors pretty good with the Intel HD 3000 but overall if u have a decent card then i wudnt bother.

One thing i did notice was when having my main monitor plugged into the 6870 and the second monitor into the mobo it seems like it can run both at the same time and can take some load off the 6870.. i can tell this happened cuz my card temps went down while both monitors were left switched on while idle. Running both monitors from the 6870 game me 50c idle temps and was around 10c lower on the 6870 when using HD 3000 on the second.

That's because the 6870 clocks itself up when there are 2 or more monitors connected to it to prevent flickering. Since your other monitor is connected to the HD 3000, the 6870 only needs to deal with one monitor, and hence can drop to it's lowest clocks. Nothing to do with Virtu.

If you look at my scores with MVP running you will see it is not in trial mode. Gave me 500 extra points in heaven, 3000 extra points in 3DMark11 and an extra 10-20 fps in BF3.

I am on a Z68 Asrock Ext4 Gen3 board and used a work around to get it in full mode.

Depends on the board cuz the license for full Virtu usually comes in a mobo bios update.. i guess MSI are a little slow with this.
